Consulting & Evaluation
If interested, I would be happy to advise you or your team on making your facility more child-friendly. I look forward to getting to know your facility.
In my work, I specialize in presenting complex topics to children. We tackle nearly any subject, from migration, war, and death to nude photography, architecture, and gender. However, children always need a creative and age-appropriate approach, as well as suitable spaces, to extract what interests them from the web of topics. Every child is a competent child.
Many museums and other cultural institutions in Germany lack their own educational departments due to various reasons, including traditional structures, financial constraints, or a primary focus on exhibitions and preservation. To address this gap, they often collaborate exclusively with external educational organizations or schools. Some institutions believe their topics and exhibitions are not suitable for children, or they are unsure how to adapt their offerings to engage young audiences.
As a former architect, trained interior designer, and state-certified educator, I am available to assist you in evaluating your facility. This includes identifying changes needed to make it more child-friendly. Designing an "activity space" can also help in establishing successful children’s programs. I can support your team in finding ways to present complex topics to children and how the design of spaces and facilities can help engage them. Additionally, we can determine the relevant age group together and develop appropriate offerings for that group.
I offer evaluations and consultations specifically tailored to the opportunities and challenges of your facility.
