KidsKultur at BBA Gallery Berlin
A Creative Dialogue Between Children and Art
On Friday, August 14, 2026, KidsKultur brought children together for a special creative workshop at BBA Gallery Berlin. At the center of the experience was the creation of a large-scale collaborative artwork, with the children taking an active role as artists and creators.
Together with four-year-old artist Thanaghone Wattanasiritham (Ghone), whose works were presented in the exhibition “State of Play”, the children had the unique opportunity not only to look at contemporary art, but to become part of an artistic dialogue themselves.
At just four years old, Ghone is one of the youngest artists in Southeast Asia. His abstract works emerge from curiosity, play, and limitless imagination. Using everyday materials such as toys, sponges, and natural objects, he creates complex textures and transforms the canvas into a space for exploration and discovery. “State of Play” demonstrated how art can emerge from a natural childhood impulse – free from fixed rules and expectations.
The workshop was pedagogically guided by Firouz Mostovfi, founder of KidsKultur and an expert in children’s cultural education. The focus was not only on the finished artwork, but on the creative process itself. The children experimented freely with colors and materials, discovered their own forms of expression, and experienced art as a space for imagination, connection, and personal development.
Mind, Body & Soul
The workshop combined contemporary art with KidsKultur’s holistic Mind, Body & Soul approach:
Mind represented curiosity, imagination, and the ability to develop new perspectives.
Body represented direct experience through movement, materials, colors, and the active process of creating with one’s own hands.
Soul represented self-confidence, emotional expression, and the experience of being seen and heard through one’s own creativity.
The children were encouraged to explore, experiment, move, create, and develop their own artistic language. What made the workshop special was its authentic access to the world of art: inside a professional gallery, alongside a very young artist, and within a pedagogical environment that recognized children as curious, capable, and creative individuals.
It created a unique space where art, education, and childhood development came together – connecting Mind, Body, and Soul.
