Workshops For Parents
Kids Kultur
Death, flight, migration, modern art, or nude photography—parents may struggle to convey complex topics to their children and actively engage in their cultural education due to cultural differences, time and resource constraints, language barriers, or lack of knowledge about cultural diversity, art, and architecture.
Adults often find it challenging to determine which topics are appropriate for their children. They fear overwhelming their children or exposing them to unsuitable subjects, are unsure of their children’s reactions, may lack sufficient information or resources, and can be influenced by their own uncertainties or fears.
In personal face-to-face or group workshops, I support adults and parents in exploring their own prejudices, resistance to change, and uncertainties in dealing with complex and abstract topics and spaces through simple methods and techniques. This opens new perspectives for benefiting from cultural offerings that may not traditionally be seen as child-friendly. This way, parents and children can expand their cultural education together.
The workshop focuses on an engaging approach to understanding child development, fostering open and empathetic communication, adapting language and content, providing supportive materials, integrating one’s own cultural perspective, and encouraging curiosity and openness.
