Biographical Work with Children

Certainly, my professional experiences as an architect, interior and set designer, stylist, art director, dancer, and singer, as well as my time as a state-certified educator, have shaped my identity. Additionally, my experiences as a war child and refugee have influenced my perspective on both my own childhood and that of others. Finding spiritual balance and understanding and regulating my emotions amidst these varied experiences has been particularly challenging.

These diverse experiences have helped me develop the "Body, Mind & Soul" concept for KidsKultur.

In developing the concept for KidsKultur, my biography plays a crucial role. It allows me to perceive and understand the differences among children and to question my own evaluative patterns. By reflecting on my life experiences, I continuously gain new insights and perspectives that enrich my educational practice. My personal history helps me better tailor my pedagogical approach to the individual needs of the CultureKids and fosters a deeper understanding of my role as an educator.

The Body, Mind & Soul Concept

KidsKultur is a child-centered, holistic educational concept for children aged six to eight, designed to provide them with access to the adult cultural world. KidsKultur views all children as:

  • Capable of Rational Thinking (Mind)
  • Physically Active and Engaged (Body)
  • Able to Find Their Own Spiritual Balance and Regulate Emotions (Soul)
These three areas overlap, are interdependent, and influence each other.

By considering the Body, Mind & Soul concept, children in small, dynamically changing focus groups gain access to the adult cultural world for exploration. KidsKultur provides opportunities for self-efficacy, experimentation with new ideas, self-reflection, and the development of individual thinking and self-expression through monthly themes and weekly cultural events.

The CultureKids thus come to understand ideas, traditions, values, and norms of their society at an early age. KidsKultur offers rare access to spaces and institutions, introduces children to useful methods, techniques, and documentation and presentation skills, and brings them back into public spaces.

KidsKultur is an independent educational program and is not affiliated with schools or daycare centers. KidsKultur supports all children regardless of gender, economic, cultural, or religious background.
